new home, new things, old things

one of the best things about a new home is getting to rearrange all of your stuff and make everything feel fresh. the problem with that is that all of our stuff is still on a boat, making its way slowly to sydney from the uk (12 weeks!!!!).

of course we couldn’t bring everything across, so we’ve had to buy tons of stuff since we arrived. some of it mega-boring (wooden spoon/clothes drying rack/mop) and some of it super-fun (chairs/cushions/sofa/lamps). I am really looking forward to our stuff being delivered, but it is also very nice to be living somewhat minimally while we wait. The bf also has some lovely things that have been stashed away at his parents house for years so we are slowly accumulating those things too.

life has changed

since i last posted a lot has changed. i was lucky enough to get a transfer through my job, and am now living in sydney! it was very hard to leave london and the uk, but i am seriously loving it here. my bf is from australia, so he is thrilled to be back. i am aiming to be a bit better at posting, there is so much new and exciting stuff!

i’ve been here for five weeks, and here are my five favourite things so far:

1. a (almost!) daily dose of sunshine

2. awesome weekend breakfasts in cafes on every corner

3. lots of walking

4. exploring the eastern suburbs

5. bare legs and bare feet as often as possible

a few of my instagrams from the past few weeks. @claireyclaire
